AB OBJECT: The goal of the pilot study was to elaborate and evaluate a
program designed for the society to accept the men who have sex with men
without any discrimination. METHOD: This pilot program was created to
change the negative attitudes towards the MSM, who have been rejected
and neglected by the Society. 124 MSM, from various strata of the
society had been interviewed and were invited to express their own
emotions and feelings about their status in the society. OUTCOME: 78% of
them were driven to a corner were they do not mix with any other person
because of the inappropriate rationalisation based on their sexual
activities. 22% of them still continue to be bisexual. These 22% men
continue their sexual activities without the knowledge of their family.
CONCLUSION: The society needs to accept these men irrational of their
sexual behaviour and extend its loving and caring hands which will bring
about an attitudal change in the MSM circuit.
